KONSEP BARU SURFACE EXCESS PADA ANTAR FASE UDARA-LARUTAN DENGAN GIBBS ADSORPTION ISOTHERM: LOKASI SURFACE EXCESS

Abstract

The Gibbs surface excess was examined by using surface tension vs. concentration curve and a new concept for the surface excess is presented based upon data from the evaporation rate of water, the activation energy of evaporation, and the BAM images for surfactant solution. As the result, the surface excess was found to concentrate not at the air/water interface but at some depth apart below the interface as bi-lamellar aggregates.
