Its interaction with various microorganisms that live in the waters causes the formation of various kinds of active compounds and biological activities that are important in the world of health. The purpose of this study was to extract and fractionate protein from the <em>Haliclona </em>Sp sponge from Spermonde waters through confirmation using ammonium sulfate at various antioxidant levels, and to determine the content and activity of the protein in each fraction. The results showed that the protein content and antioxidant activity (IC<sub>50</sub>) of each fraction were, among others, in fraction 1 (0-30%) of 0.143 mg/L and 78.11 mg/L, fraction 2 (31-50%) 0.045 mg/L and 153.55 mg/L, fraction 3 (51–70%) of 0.020 and 161.12 mg/L, and fraction 4 (71–90%) of 0.112 and 104.71 mg/L, while crude protein of 0.277 mg/L and 115.22 mg/L. Metoda adsorpsi dengan sistem <em>batch</em> digunakan dalam proses optimasi dengan parameter yaitu pengaruh pH, kosentrasi awal, waktu kontak dan suhu pemanasan biosorben. Kondisi optimum diperoleh pada pH 7, konsentrasi awal 900 mg/L, waktu kontak 45 menit, dan suhu pemanasan biosorben 25<sup>°</sup>C dengan kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 72,57 mg/g. Proses adsorpsi mengikuti model isoterm Langmuir (R<sup>2</sup> = 0,9985) dan model kinetika orde dua semu dengan R<sup>2</sup> = 0,9890. Studi termodinamika menunjukkan bahwa proses adsorpsiberlangsung secara spontan dan eksotermik. Siklus adsorpsi-desorpsi menggunakan asam asetat 30% didapatkan sebanyak 5 siklus. PRK diekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol sedangkan PUUJU diekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol dalam suasana asam. PUUJU dan PRK diuji karakter perubahan warnanya dan digunakan sebagai indikator titrasi HCl-NaOH dan CH3COOH-NaOH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan PUUJU berwarna merah pada pH 1, pink pada pH 2-6, ungu pada pH 7, biru pada pH 8-9, hijau pada pH 10-11 dan kuning pada pH 12-14. PRK menunjukkan warna kuning pada pH 1-7, merah bata pudar pada pH 8 dan semakin pekat seiring naiknya nilai pH larutan. Kedua pigmen ini mampu menunjukkan perubahan warna yang jelas pada titik akhir titrasi layaknya indikator fenolftalien. Diperoleh konsentrasi HCl pada titrasi menggunakan indikator PP, PUUJU dan PRK berturut-turut adalah 0,1031 M, 0,1045 M dan 0,1025 M sedangkan konsentrasi CH3COOH berturut-turut adalah 0,0876 M, 0,0869 M dan 0,0853 M. Benth.) dalam Medium HCl https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/jisic/article/view/29253 <p><strong>[Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel with Miana (Coleus scutellaroides (L.) Benth.) Leaves Extract in HCl Medium]</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak daun miana (<em>Coleus scutellaroides</em> (L.) Benth.) (EDM) terhadap laju korosi baja lunak, mengidentifikasi jenis adsorpsi, dan mengkarakterisasi permukaan baja lunak baik sebelum maupun setelah penambahan EDM. Metode kehilangan berat (<em>weight loss</em>) digunakan untuk menguji laju korosi, jenis adsorpsi diidentifikasi melalui perhitungan termodinamika, dan karakterisasi permukaan dievaluasi dengan menggunakan <em>fourier transform infrared</em> (FTIR), <em>X-Ray Diffraction</em> (XRD), dan <em>Scanning Electron Microscopy </em>(SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laju korosi terendah didapatkan pada suhu 30℃ dengan konsentrasi EDM sebesar 6 g/L sebesar 0,153 mg/cm²jam dengan efisiensi inhibisi 88,288%. Analisis karakterisasi menunjukkan adanya interaksi antara EDM dengan permukaan baja lunak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan e-modul kimia dasar Problem Based-Learning (PBL) pada materi termokimia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah 43 mahasiswa semester 1 program studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Tanjungpura. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penggunaan e-modul kimia dasar berbasis PBL pada bahan termokimia. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik pengukuran dan komunikasi langsung. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang terdiri dari 4 soal essay studi kasus dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis efektivitas menggunakan rumus N-Gain dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 26. Hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa saat pretest 29% (kurang baik) dan saat posttest 85% (sangat baik). Berdasarkan hasil analisis N-Gain diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,79 (tinggi) dengan kategori efektif. Various plants have important roles in supporting human medicinal needs due to their availability in providing various medicinal resources. One of the natural resources is Sonneratia alba, a species of mangrove plant known with high adaptive ability and tolerance to extreme environmental conditions such as high saline stress, light intensity exposure, and free radicals. This review summarized the findings on pharmacological activities of S. alba. Several studies reported the adaptive ability of S. alba with its various pharmacological activities such as antimalarial, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer. These activities are strongly correlated with its bioactive constituents such as terpenoid, alkaloid, tannin, quinone, phenolic, and flavonoid. The mechanism of each pharmacological activity has been suggested in several studies. This study was done to ensure that the method used can be applied in the laboratory with valid results and uncertainty. The verification method in this research consists of accuracy and precision. Accuracy was done by comparing measurement results with reference values using the t-student test. Precision can be seen in its repeatability and reproducibility. In this study, method verification of melting temperature measurement was carried out by thermal analysis using Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) based on ISO 11357-3: 2018 method concerning determining temperature and enthalpy changes in melting and crystallization. The results showed that the method used to determine melting temperature and enthalpy changes (∆H) had met the repeatability and reproducibility requirements. The RSD (Relative Standard Deviation) value was less than 2%, and the accuracy met the acceptance requirements with a t-count smaller than the t-table in a 95% confidence level.
