Peer Review Process

DIKBASTRA: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra double-blind review by at least two independent reviewers. The review results in a final acceptance/rejection decision by the editor-in-chief or another academic editor approved by the editor-in-chief. In addition, the editor-in-chief is also responsible for the approval of guest editors, special issue topics, and new editorial board members.

In processing manuscripts that come to the editorial desk, the managing editor of the journal will conduct an initial check, namely the suitability of the manuscript received. If appropriate, the manuscript is then prepared for the peer-review process conducted by independent experts and submits at least two review reports per manuscript (Double-blind). The results of this review are then provided to the authors for revision in accordance with the input from the experts before the article receives a final decision. The final decision by the editor is made based on the recommendations of the category experts.

We ask the authors to make adequate revisions (with a second round of peer review if necessary) before a final decision is made. The final decision is made by the Editor. Each submitted article will be independently reviewed by two peer reviewers (Double-blind). Decisions for publication, amendment, or rejection are based on their reports/recommendations. After review, there will be four types of editor decisions based on the reviewers' recommendations:

> Accept Submission: acceptance of the submission without revision.

> Required Revisions: acceptance of the manuscript with minor revisions.

> Resubmit for Review: acceptance of the manuscript with resubmission, but with significant changes, the manuscript is acceptable. This will require a review.

> Resubmit Elsewhere: rejection of the article because the substance of the article is not in accordance with the field of science.

> Refuse Submission: rejection of the manuscript for publication in the journal.

> View Comments: view feedback from reviewers to the Editor.

The results of the article review by the reviewers will be notified to the author via email. Authors are allowed to revise their articles based on suggestions from reviewers (and editors) no later than 10 weeks after notification via email.

All submitted articles will be checked for originality to prevent plagiarism using the anti-plagiarism software, Turnitin.
