About the Journal

PAMPAS: Journal of Criminal Law (ISSN Print 2721-7205 ISSN Online 2721-8325) is a periodical scientific publication in the field of Criminal Law. The word Pampas derives from the Jambi-Malay language which means restitution. It refers to a traditional sanction that serves as restitution for physical harm resulting from a crime. Pampas is published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Jambi, as a venue for publishing articles of criminal law. First released in February 2020, PAMPAS: Journal of Criminal Law is published three times a year, namely in February, June and October. In each issue, PAMPAS publishes 9-11 articles on criminal law, including but not limited to criminal procedural law,  special crimes, criminal law enforcement, criminal law reform, penal policy, comparative criminal law, international criminal law, criminal customary law, criminal justice system, Islamic criminal law, military crime, criminology, victimology.
