The Indonesian Research Journal in Education (IRJE) provides a vital forum for exchanging ideas in order to enrich the theory, policy, and practice of education in Indonesia and around the world. IRJE is a biannual, open access, peer-reviewed, and international e-journal, published in Indonesia. We accept unpublished, high quality, and original research manuscripts in English, resulting primarily from quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methodology related to or associated with education. IRJE is published 2 times per year by Jambi University, the Graduate School, Doctoral Program in Education. All research articles appearing in IRJE have undergone a thoroughly peer-review.

Publishing in IRJE is free of charges.

Focus and Scope

The Indonesian Research Journal in Education (IRJE) accepts unpublished, high quality, and original research manuscripts in English, resulting primarily from quantitative, qualitative, or mixed research methodology related to or associated with education. These issues include, but not limited to, practices, policies, and research in education from early childhood education to higher education which cover the areas of  instruction, learning, teaching, curriculum development, educational policy, language education and policy, bilingual education, multicultural education, art education, teacher education, educational technology, educational developments, educational psychology, and international education in Indonesia and other parts of the world.

IRJE will not accept research articles or manuscripts submitted for publication elsewhere.

IRJE does not publish book reviews, program evaluations or research articles merely explaining programs, courses, or personal experiences. All research articles submitted must be written in English.

Peer Review Process

Research articles or Manuscripts submitted to IRJE are initially reviewed by the editors for general fit with the IRJE focus and scope and for the writing quality. Only those research articles meeting the IRJE focus and scope will be sent to reviewers for a double blind review. Review time is typically 4-6 months. Two reviewers will be assigned to evaluate the research articles or manuscripts on the basis of their expertise. Reviewers are expected to return their reviews within 4 weeks. A third reviewer will be appointed in case one of the reviewers disagrees upon the quality of the research article for publication. The assigned reviewers evaluate the research articles by using a standard manuscript evaluation form. They are required to treat all the information in the research articles as confidential. Views of the assigned reviewers serve as a guide to IRJE editors to make a final decision on the research articles. Final decision always belongs to IRJE editors.

Archiving

Indonesian Research Journal in Education utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Copyright is reserved by the first or sole author, who grants right of first publication to Indonesian Research Journal in Education (IRJE). Readers are free to copy, display, and distribute this abstract and the associated article, as long as the work is attributed to the author(s) and IRJE, it is distributed for non-commercial purposes only, and no alteration or transformation is made in the work. All other uses must be approved by the author(s) or IRJE.
