Penerapan Sanksi Pidana Denda Terhadap Parkir Liar (Studi Di Kota Jambi)

Abstract

This research aims: 1). To find out and analyze the application of fines criminal sanctions against violators of illegal parking in Jambi City, 2). To find out and analyze the obstacles in applying fines criminal sanctions against violators of illegal parking in Jambi City. The research method used is a type of empirical legal research with interview and observation data collection techniques. The conclusion from the results of the discussion in this research concluded that: 1). The application of fine criminal sanctions against violators of illegal parking in Jambi City based on Article 287 paragraph (3) of Law Number 22 of 2009 is carried out by means of a hunting or patrol system by the Jambi City Police Traffic Unit. 2). Obstacles in applying fines criminal sanctions against violators of illegal parking in Jambi City based on Article 287 paragraph (3) of Law Number 22 of 2009 are caused by: Lack of supervision, Lack of quantity of law enforcement officers, Violators are difficult to find for action, Lack of signs prohibiting stopping and parking in Jambi City, Lack of public education regarding proper parking procedures, and there is a lack of special parking areas in Jambi City.
