Karakteristik Geokimia Dan Komposisi Mineral Serta Isolasi Dan Identifikasi Kandungan Selulosa Pada Kayu Petrisian Dan In-Situ Araucarioxylon Di Kawasan Geopark Merangin

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kandungan mineral serta identifikasi selulosa terhadap fosil kayu petrisian dan araucarioxylon dikawasan Geopark Merangin Jambi.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kawasan Geopark Merangin di Kabupaten Merangin Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan tahun 2015.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkandalam perspektif geokimia dan proses fosilisasi fosil kayu petrisian dan insituaraucarioxylondiketahui bahwa komponen penyusun utama dari fosil kayu tersebut adalah silika (Si) dan Oksigen (O) dan hasil isolasi dan identifikasi selulosa dengan metode FT-IR dan UV-Vis dari fosil kayu petrisian dan insituaraucarioxylon belum ditemukan adanya kandungan selulosa sebagai unsur utama penyusun kayu.
