Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1,5-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Formating Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of the Jurnal Karya Abdi Masyarakat (JKAM) is as follows:

  1. It should be written in English.
  2. JKAM's article must adhere to the following word count guidelines: Original Research Articles should range from 6,000 to 10,000 words.
  3. The article must include abstract in English (100-200 words) and be following by the keywords (3-5 phrases).
  4. It must be used of a reference manager tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting. The citation must be in the form of in-text and bibliography are based on APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association).
  5. It should be prepared by using the JKAM paper template.

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. Title. The title of the paper should describe research results, aims, method/model, or objective, without acronym or abbreviation.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 100 to 200 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract, such as the background, novelty, a primary objective, research design, methodology, main findings and discussion, the conclusions, and the impact of this research results.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion - Acknowledgment - Declarations - Reference - Appendix (optional)
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 20 references primarily with a minimum of 75% from reputable journal papers with their DOI or URLs.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an English Language Editor (Proofreader). 

Guideline for Online Submission

All manuscripts should be submitted online at: Make Submission

The author should fulfill the form as detailed as possible where the star-marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, the Author clicked on the “Register” button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to an online author submission interface where Author should click New Submission. In the Start, a New Submission section, click on Click Here: to go to step one of the five-step submission process. The following are five steps in the online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste the cover letter (recommended but not mandatory), send the recommendation as a reviewer for your article, and send your recommended two (2) reviewers to the editor into the Letter to the Editor.
  2. Step 2 - Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click the "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. Do not upload a cover letter and other supplementary files here.
  3. Step 3 - Entering Submission Metadata: Detailed authors' metadata should be entered, including the corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying and pasting the text into the textbox, including keywords.
  4. Step 4 - Confirming the Submission: The author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Jurnal Karya Abdi Masyarakat journal, click the Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and be able to view the submissions' progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, the Authors who submitted the manuscript will receive a confirmation email. Therefore, Authors can track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. Submission tracking includes the status of the manuscript review and editorial process.
