Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts to be published in Kajian Linguistik dan Sastra must meet the following criteria.

  1. The manuscript has never been published in electronic media and/or other print media. Manuscripts are in the form of research results, conceptual ideas, or studies and applications of linguistics and literature (Regional, Indonesian). Manuscripts are written in Indonesian and English that are guided by standardized language standards, including spelling.
  2. Manuscripts are written on A4 paper with Tahoma 12 font, spaced 1. The top and bottom edges of the paper are 3 cm, while the left and right edges of the paper are 3 cm.
  3. The abstract, both in Indonesian and English, is written in Tahoma 10 font, spaced 1.
  4. The length of the paper is about 12-20 pages with the provision that the number of tables, graphs, charts, and the like is no more than 25% of the entire page.
  5. The systematic writing of the manuscript, namely the title of the manuscript, the author's name (without academic degree), the name of the institution, abstract and keywords, introduction (without sub-chapters), closing (conclusions and suggestions), and bibliography.
  6. The title should be short, clear and reflect the subject matter. The title is written in capital letters and bolded.
  7. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English. The abstract contains the problem, theory and method, discussion results, and conclusions. The length of the abstract is about 150-200 words and is spaced one (1) space and accompanied by 3-5 keywords. The introduction contains a description of the reasons for choosing the topic, problem points, and objectives and benefits. Theory and method contain a description of the theory used, how to apply it, and the determination of data sources.
  8. The quality of the reference literature is determined by the ratio between the level of primary sources and the recency of the referenced material by looking at the proportion of publications in the last 10 years. The amount of reference literature is adjusted to the content of the writing. All sources referred to in the text must be mentioned in full in the bibliography. Writing the bibliography refers to the APA writing system.
  9. The editor has the right to edit every manuscript that will be published without changing the content or the main idea. Furthermore, it also has the right to reject and change the format of the writing for reasons of script uniformity and artistic.
  10. Articles to be published are given the opportunity to all parties, especially researchers, lecturers, teachers, enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and professionals to send manuscripts.
