Kontrol Keberadaan Manifestasi Air Panas di Utara- Barat Laut Danau Kerinci, Jambi: Hasil Studi Pendahuluan.
Kerinci is an area formed by the activity of the Indo – Australian Plate subduction with the Eurasian plate to a zone of tectonic magmatic arc and complex arrangement. Geological structure related to one another in addition to controling the distribution of rocks on the surface also make this region is tectonically complex enough. The formation of some fault structure which is quite dense and followed by magmatic activity along the fault lines resulting in a range of vulcanoes. Fault structure that formed a part of sumatra fault segments, on of which is influenced by siulak trending fault segment Northwest – Southeast. With the influence of volcanic and tectonic activity in the study area. So this study aims to determine the geothermal manifestations and structures that effect it. This study uses data interpretation of Aster DEM for straightness analysis geological structures will be overlaid with the regional geology to determine the position of a volcano that is the source of this manifestation. The Collection of field data is done by direct observations in the two observation points. Semurup the observation area dimension of the geothermal manifestation, observation and descriptions of rock in the area of geothermal manifestation, temperature measurement is done by using a thermometer and measurement of PH using the Ph meter. With the interpretation of straightness geological structures and direct observation in the study area that will see the source of geothermal manifestation as well as the geological structures that effect.
