Abstract

Increasing national rice production is needed in line with the increasing population growth. One of the programs that has the aim of increasing national rice production is IP 400. This study is aimed at knowing the costs, revenues, income, and profits of rice farming with the Cropping Index (IP) 400 program, as well as knowing the feasibility of rice farming in the third planting season (MT-III) IP 400 program in Weru District, Sukoharjo Regency. The basic method in this research is descriptive. The research location was determined purposively. The sample was determined by proportional random sampling. The data analysis methods used are: (1) farming cost analysis (2) farming revenue analysis (3) farming income analysis (4) farming profit analysis, (5) R/C ratio analysis, (6) B/C ratio analysis. This study gives the result that the average total cost of the MT-III rice farming program IP 400 is Rp. 11,841,180/ha/MT with an average revenue of Rp. 30,212,459/ha/MT, so the average income earned is Rp. 20,605.46/ha/MT and the average profit value is Rp. 18,371,279/ha/MT. Based on the results of the feasibility analysis, the value of the R/C ratio is 2.55 and the B/C ratio is 1.55. This indicates that lowland rice farming MT-III IP 400 Program in Weru District is profitable and feasible to cultivate.
