Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan Metode Snowball Drilling untuk Meningkatkan Perhatian Siswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perhatian siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Tindakan dilakukan dalam satu kali tahap pra tindakan dan dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap MTs NU Al Mujahidin Rawalo Banyumas tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran think pair share dan metode snowball drilling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis instrumen menggunakan validitas isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perhatian siswa pada pembelajaran menggunakan model think pair share dan snowball drilling pada tahap pra tindakan, siklus I, dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan dilihat dari segi proses maupun hasil. Pada tahap pra tindakan persentase perhatian siswa dilihat dari hasil lembar observasi sebesar 37,52%, sedangkan dari hasil angket sebesar 53,23%. Pada siklus I persentase perhatian siswa dilihat dari hasil lembar observasi meningkat menjadi 59,49%, sedangkan dari hasil angket meningkat menjadi 64,28%. Pada siklus II persentase perhatian siswa dilihat dari hasil lembar observasi meningkat menjadi 79,49%, sedangkan dari hasil angket meningkat menjadi 80,84%.

The Application of Think Pair Share Learning Model

with Snowball Drilling Method to Improve Students’ Attention

Abstract

This study aims to improve the students' attention on learning mathematics. This research is a class action research. Actions carried out in the pre-action stage one and two cycles. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII of even semester in MTs NU Al Mujahidin Rawalo Banyumas in academic year of 2017/2018. Objects in this research was the think pair share learning model and snowball drilling method. Data collection methods used observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Research instruments such as observation sheets, guidance interviews, and questionnaires. Analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative analysis and analytical instruments using content validity. The results showed that think pair share learning model with snowball drilling method to improve the students' attention at the pre-action stage, the first cycle and second cycle has increased in terms of process and outcome. In the pre-action stage, the percentage interest of students seen from the observation sheet by 37.52%, while the results of the questionnaire by 53.23%. In the first cycle, the percentage of students’ attention seen from the observation sheet increased to 59.49%, while the results of the questionnaire increased to 64.28%. In the second cycle the percentage of students seen attention from the observation sheet increased to 79.49%, while the results of the questionnaire increased to 80.84%.
