Science education in Indonesia still faces challenges in developing students’ application skills, as shown by PISA 2022 where only 22% of Indonesian students reached the applicative level, below the OECD average of 49%. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Experiential Learning (EL) in improving students’ application skills in the excretory system topic. A quasi-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest design was applied to eighth-grade students at a junior high school in West Java during the 2025/2026 academic year. Research instruments included application skill tests, observation sheets to assess fidelity of implementation, and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using N-Gain scores and descriptive statistics. The results indicated a significant improvement in application skills with an average N-Gain score in the medium category. Observation results showed high fidelity of implementation, while student responses revealed positive perceptions of the integrated model, emphasizing its contextual and relevant nature.
