PELATIHAN BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR (BHD) DAN PENANGANAN TRAUMA BAGI KADER POSYANDU TANGGAP BENCANA KELURAHAN JELMU

Abstract

Flood disasters, especially in the Service District, Jelmu Village, occur almost every year. This is partly due to geographical factors where the location of the village is on the river bank. The disaster caused both material and non-material losses. Health problems also often arise after the flood. The majority of flood management in these areas still relies on the local government. Though ideally the community should take an active role in tackling the problem of flooding that occurs every year. The proposed solution to overcome the problem in the partner area is to provide training to cadres at the existing disaster response Posyandu related to skills and abilities in disaster management. Cadre and community will be trained with disaster preparedness programs in the form of BHD training or basic life support, handling trauma sufferers, splinting techniques, techniques for moving victims, handling poisoning and first aid. With these programs, it is hoped that there will be an increase in knowledge and abilities of cadres and the community, especially in the disaster management process. In addition, cadres and the community can be actively involved in disaster preparedness. So that a number of negative impacts caused by disasters can be minimized.

ABSTRAK

Bencana banjir khususnya di Kecamatan Pelayangan Kelurahan Jelmu hampir terjadi setiap tahun. Hal ini salah satunya disebabkan oleh faktor geografis di mana lokasi kelurahan tersebut berada di tepi sungai. Bencana tersebut menimbulkan kerugian baik materil maupun non-materiil. Permsalahan kesehatan juga sering muncul pasca terjadinya banjir. Penanganan banjir di daerah tersebut mayoritas masih bertumpu pada pemerintah setempat. Padahal idealnya masyarakat harus turut berperan aktif dalam menanggulangi masalah banjir yang terjadi setiap tahun. Adapun solusi yang ditawakan untuk mengatasi masalah di daerah mitra tersebut adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan terhadap kader-kader di Posyandu tanggap bencana yang telah ada terkait ketrampilan dan kemampuan dalam penanggulangan bencana. Kader dan masyarakat akan dilatih dengan program-program kesiapsiagaan bencana berupa pelatihan BHD atau bantuan hidup dasar, penanganan penderita trauma, tekhnik pembebatan, tekhnik memindahkan korban, penanganan keracunan dan P3K. Dengan adanya program-program tersebut diharapkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dari kader dan masyarakat khususnya dalam proses penanggulangan bencana. Selain itu kader dan masyarakat dapat terlibat aktif dalam kesiapsiagaan bencana. Sehingga sejumlah dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan oleh bencana dapat diminimalisir.
