Abstract

PT. Seluma Prima Coal is a company engaged in coal mining located in Rangkilig Village, Mandiangin District, Sarolangun Regency, Jambi Province. The company uses the open pit mining method in its mining process. In open pit mining, the main thing to avoid work accidents is slope stability. Slope analysis is carried out at the inpit 2 disposal area.. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out using 2 incisions, the FK value in the A-A' incision is 1.125 in the dry state and 0.93 in the saturated state. The B-B' incision is 1.108 in the dry state and 1.031 in the saturated state. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the condition of the slopes was unstable. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out further analysis to make slope recommendations to make the slopes stable with the slope height on the A-A' section being 7 m wide, 8 meters high for each slope and 50o overal slope. And in the B-B' incision with a width of 6 meters and a height of 7 meters for each slope and an overall slope of 51o. From the analysis results on the recommended slopes, the FK values are 1.131 and 1.112.
