Analisis Kondisi Kelembaban dan Suhu Optimum untuk Pertumbuhan Maggot dalam Proses Penguraian Sampah Organik

Pengelolaan sampah organik merupakan tantangan penting dalam pengelolaan limbah domestik, terutama di Indonesia, di mana lebih dari 50% sampah terdiri dari limbah organik yang sering kali tidak terkelola dengan baik. Salah satu solusi yang menjanjikan adalah penggunaan maggot Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) dalam penguraian sampah organik. Keberhasilan proses ini sangat bergantung pada faktor lingkungan, khususnya suhu dan kelembaban, yang dapat memengaruhi laju pertumbuhan dan efisiensi penguraian maggot. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh suhu dan kelembaban terhadap pertumbuhan maggot dan penguraian sampah organik. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan perlakuan kelembaban (60%, 70%, 80%) dan suhu (25°C, 30°C, 35°C). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi suhu 30°C dan kelembaban 80% menghasilkan bobot maggot tertinggi (1,2 g) dan volume sampah terurai tertinggi (60,2%). Hasil analisis ANOVA dua arah menunjukkan bahwa suhu dan kelembaban memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kedua parameter tersebut, dengan interaksi antara suhu dan kelembaban yang juga berpengaruh. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bahwa kondisi optimal untuk pertumbuhan maggot dan penguraian sampah organik adalah suhu 30°C dan kelembaban 80%, yang dapat digunakan untuk pengelolaan sampah organik yang lebih efisien di lingkungan tropis.
