Focus and Scope

Jurnal Sains Sosio Humaniora is an international, peer-reviewed journal aimed at advancing knowledge in social sciences and humanities, published by Research Institution and Communities Services (LPPM) Universitas Jambi. This journal publishes original research in the following areas:
1. Social Education
Research on social education explores key areas such as economics education, civic education (PKN), guidance and counseling, and educational psychology. It focuses on the development of educational systems that address societal needs, enhance democratic values, and support the emotional and mental development of students across various educational levels.

2. Multicultural Education
This area examines how multicultural perspectives influence the teaching and learning of subjects like mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, language, and educational technology. Research in this field aims to make education more inclusive and accessible by integrating diverse cultural values and promoting cross-cultural understanding in various educational disciplines.

3. Social Sciences
Research in social sciences encompasses disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, economics, history, cultural studies, communication, geography, and cultural tourism. This area focuses on understanding human behavior, social structures, cultural dynamics, and the historical, economic, and geographic factors that shape societies, with an emphasis on the role of culture and communication in modern life.

4. Indigenous Studies
This field explores the cultures, knowledge, and social systems of indigenous communities, including groups such as the Suku Anak Dalam, Minangkabau, Melayu, Jawa, Dayak, Sunda, and others. Research focuses on the preservation of indigenous traditions, the challenges these communities face, and their contributions to cultural diversity and sustainability.

5. Sustainable Development
Research in sustainable development aligns with global SDGs and addresses issues such as quality education, gender equality, sustainable cities and communities, decent work, and social ecology. This area emphasizes the role of education in achieving sustainable growth, promoting social inclusion, and fostering environmental resilience, with a focus on creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
