If it cannot be controlled properly, it will result in dangerous behavior which will result in one of them being teenage pregnancy. Many adolescent pregnancies occur due to low access to health and education services, the same thing also happened in Jambi Province.
Obective: The purpose of this study is to see how the phenomenon of adolescent pregnancy is in terms of health and education.
Method: This research is a qualitative research with 33 informants consisting of 1 Jambi Provincial Health Office, 1 Jambi Provincial Education Office, and 31 youth in 10 districts/cities in Jambi Province.
Result: The results of in-depth interviews show that there are still many adolescents who have not utilized reproductive health services at existing health facilities and also the occurrence of pregnancies during the school period makes adolescents drop out of school and are lazy to continue their education due to constraints on husband's permission, child care, and financial circumstances.
Conclusion: The lack of information regarding reproductive health and the low level of education that has been completed have proven to influence the decision of adolescents in Jambi Province to marry earlier than the proper age.
Keywords: Adolescent Pregnancy, Education, Health.
Adelina Fitri Hubaybah Hubaybah Fitria Eka Putri Ashar Nuzulul Putra Copyright (c) 2023 JAMBI MEDICAL JOURNAL "Jurnal Kedokteran dan Kesehatan" 2024-07-07 2024-07-07 11 2 147 161 10.22437/jmj.v11i2.25031 Web-Based Exclusive Breastfeeding Education Application for Pregnant Women https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/kedokteran/article/view/25142
ABSTRACT

Pregnant women are a vulnerable group during the Covid-19 pandemic. In East Tanjung Jabung the number of active integrated service posts is 58.68% higher than the provincial average and the coverage of baby visits to posyandu is 102.5%. There are 291 early childhood education units with a percentage of early childhood screening coverage of 97.2% in 2018 and 97.4% in 2019, decreased to 36.8% in 2020 due to the pandemic. Methods: mixed-method research with quantitative analysis to see the different characteristics of service posts, and qualitative analysis of 4 postal managers, 4 postal tutors, and 2 postal cadres. A total of 16 early childhood educations are divided into 4 types of systems, namely traditional, integrated early childhood education, integrated health preschool, and pilot stunting locus of early childhood education. Purposive sample selection. Data collection time is August-November 2022. Research results: based on a quantitative analysis of system-supporting factors that influence the success of health-integrated early childhood education compared to other types of early childhood education, namely the number of meetings per month (p value = 0.033), the length of time preschool operates (p value = 0.033), the level education of early childhood management (p value = 0.036), and periodic training attended by cadres (p value = 0.021). Going deeper into the qualitative analysis, it was found that the supporting factors were human resources as tutors who were able to fulfill their obligations well, and had creativity to support and maximize learning activities and achievements. The active compounds in karamunting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa) leaves are believed to have the potential as antioxidants to overcome hypercholesterolemia and the effects of diseases related to male fertility. This study aimed to determine the effect of ethanol extract of karamunting leaves on the spermatozoa concentration of male Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) given different extract doses compared to controls induced by a high-fat diet. This research is an observational analytic study. The karamunting leaves extract was obtained from maceration with 70% ethanol and evaporated with a rotary evaporator. There were 15 videos of male rats spermatozoa divided into three groups: the control group received 5% Na-CMC, treatment group 1 (P1) received karamunting leaves extract 400 mg/kgBW, and treatment group 2 (P2) received karamunting leaves extract 800 mg/kgBW administered orally for 30 days. Previously, rats were induced with a high-fat diet for 30 days. Spermatozoa concentration was calculated using the counting chamber method, observed on the recorded video media. There was no significant difference in the concentration of spermatozoa (p>0.05) and relative testicular weight (p>0.05) in the P1 and P2 extract dose groups compared to the control group. The ethanol extract of karamunting leaves did not affect the concentration of rat spermatozoa induced by a high-fat diet.

Tia Wida Ekaputri Hz Hana Azkia Susan Tarawifa Rina Nofri Enis Copyright (c) 2023 JAMBI MEDICAL JOURNAL "Jurnal Kedokteran dan Kesehatan" 2024-07-07 2024-07-07 11 2 202 209 10.22437/jmj.v11i2.25128 THE PEOPLE’S KNOWLEDGE AND INTENTION IN USING ONLINE PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTIONS https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/kedokteran/article/view/25144
Background The development of telepsychology in Indonesia is inseparable from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. One of its manifestations is online-based psychological interventions. With numerous growing applications in Indonesia, most of these services only provide counseling via chat with a psychologist. Indeed, the forms of online-based psychological interventions are not limited to chat. Further identifications are required to see if these online-based psychological interventions appeal to the community. This study aims to depict the knowledge and intention of the community to use online psychological interventions and the correlation between them.

Method This study was quantitative research with survey method. The number of involved respondents was 127 male and female respondents aged 17-40.

Result Research results show that 39.37% of respondents fell into the moderate category of knowledge, 22.04% fell into the low category, and 26.77% fell into the high category. About 49.61% of respondents indicated moderate intention, and 22.83% indicated a reasonably high intention to use online psychological interventions should they face mental health issues. Online interventions perceived as appealing for the community should they experience mental health issues were web-based intervention, psychologist-guided online therapies, application-based online interventions, and chat counseling.

Discussion Public knowledge of online psychological intervention is quite adequate. However, there are still a number of issues that the community doesn't understand, such as intervention design and understanding regarding the effectiveness of online psychological intervention. Nonetheless, people's intention to use psychological intervention is increasing in line with the challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, which required people to use digital technology in their daily lives. Furthermore, efforts are needed to provide public understanding regarding the use of online psychological intervention.

Conclusion The community has sufficient knowledge and interest in online psychology services. There is a positive relationship between knowledge and intention to use online psychological interventions. Education is needed to increase public understanding regarding online interventions.

Keywords: telepsychology, online interventions, mental health
Siti Raudhoh Agung Iranda Verdiantika Annisa Marlita Andhika Rahman Copyright (c) 2023 JAMBI MEDICAL JOURNAL "Jurnal Kedokteran dan Kesehatan" 2024-07-07 2024-07-07 11 2 210 218 10.22437/jmj.v11i2.25144 STUDY OF HELMINTHIASIS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN IN JAMBI CITY https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/kedokteran/article/view/26777
ABSTRACT
Introduction: Intestinal parasitic infection is a major health problem in developing countries,
especially in children, which often causes mortality and morbidity.
