Analisis Petrofisika dan Kalkulasi Cadangan Hidrokarbon Reservoir X Formasi Talangakar Lapangan EZ Cekungan Sumatera Selatan

Abstract

South Sumatera basin is one of the basin in Indonesia area that has considerable hydrocarbon potential, particularly in the EZ field by BG well as the research of the physical properties of a reservoir characteristics including type of lithology, shale volume, porosity, permeability and water saturation value which is fundamental to the activities of oil and gas exploration. The data used in this study are well log data, core analysis routines, mudlog, integrated petrographic SEM & XRD, and test data. The method used in this study is petrophysical analysis of reservoir rocks in the Talangakar Formation. Based on data analysis and discussion of reservoir with 10 wells in total. Based on log data analysis, the lithology of Reservoir X is compiled by sandstones and shale. The results of electrofacies analysis showed that this reservoir is a deposition product of the Distributary Channel system which was deposited in the sub-environment of Fluvial Delta Plain during the Late Oligocene to the Early Miocene. EZ Field potential zone has a porosity value of 11% to 27%, a value of 5% to 25% shaly content, and 28% to 66% of water saturation value. The reservoir zones have porosity content value above 7%, the value of shale content below 45%, and the value of water saturation below 70%. For further development, based on the reservoir characteristics, it is recommended that Enhanced Oil Recovery method, especially CO2 injection will be sufficiently effective to improve the production of oil and gas in the study area.
