<p><strong>Introduction</strong> Employee engagement is how employees attach to work and the organization they are living in. Among those that can help in growing employee engagement is work enjoyment, namely how employees enjoy work. Then another factor is perceived organizational support, namely the support provided by the organization so that employees who work receive support in every job.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong> This study aims to determine the role of work enjoyment and perceived organizational support for employee engagement in employees.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong> The quantitative survey approach used in this research involves as many as 171 employees through quota sampling. Collecting data used psychology scale that reflects the construct of each variable and then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong> The results of this study indicated that perceived work enjoyment and organizational support play a role in employee engagement with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05).</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong> Based on result, it showed that perceived work enjoyment and organizational support for employee engagement on employees.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong> employee engagement, work enjoyment, perceived organizational support, employee.</p> <p>ABSTRAK</p> <p><strong>Pendahuluan</strong> Employee engagement merupakan keterikatan karyawan terhadap pekerjaan dan organisasi yang dijalaninya. Diantara yang berperan dalam menumbuhkan employee engagement adalah work enjoyment yaitu situasi bagaimana karyawan menikmati pekerjaannya. Kemudian faktor lainnya adalah perceived organizational support yaitu dukungan yang diberikan organisasi agar karyawan yang bekerja mendapat dukungan dalam setiap pekerjaannya.</p> <p><strong>Tujuan Penelitian</strong> ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dari work enjoyment dan perceived organizational support terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan.</p> <p><strong>Metode</strong> Pendekatan kuantitatif survey digunakan dalam penelitan ini dengan melibatkan sebanyak 171 orang karyawan melalui quota sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan skala psikologi yang mencerminkan konstruk masing-masing variabel kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linear berganda.</p> <p><strong>Hasil</strong> Berdasarkan temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan work enjoyment dan perceived organizational support berperan terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 (p<0,05).</p> <p><strong>Kesimpulan</strong>: Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa work enjoyment dan perceived organizational support terhadap employee engagement pada karyawan.</p> <p><strong>Kata Kunci</strong>: employee engagement, work enjoyment, perceived organizational support, karyawan</p>Muhammad FadhliFatin Hanifa

<p><strong>Introduction</strong> The purpose of this article to give understanding about reliability of psychological measurement with the emperical data. The data used attitude toward chemistery scale from Charles Osgood theory.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong> It used semantic differensial format and continuum of score of item 1-7 with three items. It explained internal consistency, parallel test, test retest and composite score. There were N=278 subejcts from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences The University of Jambi.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong> The internal consistency method used four technique with reliability coeffiecent r=0.717 to 0.824. the parallel test reliability showed equivalency coeffiecient rxx t retest reliability with rx1x2 = 0.754. Score composite reliability attitude toward Mathematics and Sciences showed r=0.914.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions</strong> The reliability analysis showed the good result, the data could be used in psychometric lecturing, validate other test, and the scale for the practical usage.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong>: reliability, parallel test, test retest, internal consistency, true score</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p><strong>Pendahuluan</strong> Artikel bertujuan memberikan pehahaman teknik reliabilitas pengukuran psikologi dengan data empirik. Data menggunakan skala sikap terhadap pelajaran Kimia dari teori sikap Charles Osgood.</p> <p><strong>Metode</strong> Aitem menggunakan format penskalaan sematik differensial 1-7 dan berjumlah 3 aitem. Reliabilitas dijelaskan berupa konsistensi internal, tes paralel, tes ulang dan skor komposit. Subjek penelitian sebanyak N=278 dari mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jambi.</p> <p><strong>Hasil</strong> Empat teknik reliabilitas konsistensi internal menghasilkan koefisien r=0.717 s.d. 0.824. Uji reliabiltas tes paralel menghasilkan koefisien ekivalensi sebesar rxx Uji reliabilitas tes ulang menghasilkan koefisien stabilitas rx1x2 =0.754. <p><strong>Introduction</strong> As an employee of a finance company, there are certainly many pressures and work demands that must be faced. Therefore, it is important to know emotional information that has an impact on wellbeing in the workplace. This study aims to determine how emotional exhaustion relates to subjective wellbeing in employees who work in finance companies.</p> <p><strong>Methods</strong> The subjects in this study amounted to 95 people who worked in finance companies, had a minimum work period of 1 year, and an age range of 20-50 years. Data collection uses the Emotional Fatigue Scale and Subjective Well-Being Scale which are distributed online. The data analysis technique used is Karl Pearson's product moment correlation.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong> This study shows there is a significant negative relationship between emotional exhaustion and subjective well- - 0.258 and p = 0.012 (p < 0.050) which means there is a negative relationship between emotional exhaustion and subjective well-being in employees who work in finance companies. The existence of this correlation proves that emotional exhaustion has a role in subjective well-being in employees who work in finance companies.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions and Suggestions</strong> The results of this study can be used as a basis so that employees who work in finance companies can maintain and improve their subjective well-being by managing their emotional exhaustion.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong>: emotional exhaustion, employees, financial sector, subjective well being</p> <p>ABSTRAK</p> <p><strong>Pendahuluan</strong> Sebagai karyawan perusahaan finance tentu banyak tekanan dan tuntutan pekerjaan yang harus dihadapi. Oleh karena itu penting untuk mengetahui informasi emosional yang berdampak terhadap kesejahteraan di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan kelelahan emosional dengan subjective well-being pada karyawan yang bekerja di perusahaan finance.</p> <p><strong>Metode</strong> Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 95 orang yang bekerja di perusahaan finance, memiliki masa kerja minimal 1 tahun, dan rentang usia 20-50 tahun. Pengambilan data menggunakan Skala Kelelahan Emosional dan Skala Subjective Well-Being yang dibagikan secara online. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment dari Karl Pearson.</p> <p><strong>Hasil</strong> Penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kelelahan emosional dengan subjective well-being - 0,258 dan p = 0,012 (p < 0,050) yang berarti ada hubungan negatif antara kelelahan emosional dengan subjective well-being pada karyawan yang bekerja diperusahaan finance. Adanya korelasi tersebut membuktikan bahwa kelelahan emosional mempunyai peran terhadap subjective well-being pada karyawan yang bekerja di perusahaan finance.</p> <p><strong>Kesimpulan dan Saran</strong> Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan dasar agar karyawan yang bekerja di perusahaan finance dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan subjective well-being yang dimiliki dengan mengelola kelelahan emosional yang dialami.</p> <p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>: kelelahan emosional, pegawai, sektor finance, subjective well-being</p>Kristina FebiolaNikmah Sofia Afiati

<p><strong>Introduction</strong> Poverty has a big impact on the sustainability of education, as well as education has big benefits in ending poverty. Good academic resilience is one of the factors that can enable teenagers from poor families to escape poverty. One of the factors that influences academic resilience is social support from peers.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong> To see the relationship between academic resilience and peer social support among adolescents from poor families in Rambutan Masam Village, Muara Tembesi District, Batanghari Regency</p> <p><strong>Methods</strong> This research used a correlational quantitative method involving 191 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique with measurement instruments for the academic resilience scale and peer social support which were analyzed using Pearson's Product Moment.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong> The results of this study found a positive correlation between academic resilience and social support from peers in adolescents from poor families in Rambutan Masam Village with an r of 0.520 with a p value <0.001.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions</strong> : There is a positive relationship between academic resilience and peer social support among adolescents from poor families in Rambutan Masam Village, Muara Tembesi District, Batanghari Regency.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong>: Academic resilience, peer social support, adolescents, poverty</p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p> <p><strong>Pendahuluan</strong> Kemiskinan membawa dampak besar terhadap keberlangsungan pendidikan, begitupun pendidikan memiliki manfaat besar dalam menuntaskan kemiskinan. Resiliensi akademik yang baik merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat membuat remaja dari keluarga miskin dapat keluar dari kemiskinan. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi resiliensi akademik adalah dukungan sosial teman sebaya.</p> <p><strong>Tujuan</strong> Untuk melihat hubungan resiliensi akademik dengan dukungan sosial teman sebaya pada remaja dari keluarga keluarga miskin di Desa Rambutan Masam Kecamatan Muara Tembesi Kabupaten Batanghari.</p> <p><strong>Metode</strong> Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis korelasional yang melibatkan 191 orang responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan instrumen pengukuran skala resiliensi akademik dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya yang dianalisis</p> <p><strong>Hasil</strong> penelitian ini ditemukan hubungan korelasi positif antara resiliensi akademik dengan dukungan sosial teman sebaya pada remaja dari keluarga miskin di Desa Rambutan Masam dengan r sebesar 0,520 dengan nilai p < 0.001.</p> <p><strong>Kesimpulan</strong> Terdapat hubungan positif antara resiliensi akademik dengan dukungan sosial teman sebaya pada remaja dari keluarga miskin di Desa Rambutan Masam Kecamatan Muara Tembesi Kabupaten Batang Hari.</p> <p><strong>Kata Kunci</strong> : Resiliensi akademik, dukungan sosial teman sebaya, remaja, kemiskinan</p>Putri Nur KhoirunnisaNurul HafizahMarlita Andhika Rahman

<p><strong>Introduction</strong> Attendance is one of the elements in assessing performance. Employees who do not come to the workplace according to the specified schedule have an impact on work productivity. Additionally, there are other factors that influence employee performance, such as emotional intelligence and burnout.</p> <p><strong>Research Objectives</strong> To determine the effect of emotional intelligence and burnout on employee performance at the Jambi City Personnel and Human Resources Agency.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong> The research employed a quantitative approach with a regression method. The research respondents were employees of BKPSDMD Kota Jambi, totaling 37 individuals, selected using a total sampling technique.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong> It was found that there was a significant effect of emotional intelligence on performance with sig = 0.000, it was found that there was no significant effect of burnout on performance with sig = 0.170, there was a significant effect of emotional intelligence and burnout on the performance of BKPSDMD Jambi City employees with sig 0.000.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong> There is a significant influence of emotional intelligence on performance, there is no effect of burnout on performance, there is an influence of emotional intelligence and burnout on employee performance at BKPSDMD Jambi City.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong>: Emotional Intelligence, Burnout, Performance, Employee</p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p> <p><strong>Pendahuluan</strong> Absensi merupakan salah satu unsur penilaian kinerja. Pegawai yang tidak datang ke tempat kerja sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan dapat berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kerja, selain itu terdapat faktor lain yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai, seperti kecerdasan emosional dan burnout.</p> <p><strong>Tujuan Penelitian</strong> Untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan burnout terhadap kinerja pegawai di Badan Kepegawaian dan Sumber Daya Manusia Kota Jambi.</p> <p><strong>Metode</strong> Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi. Responden penelitian adalah pegawai BKPSDMD Kota Jambi, sejumlah 37 individu, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling.</p> <p><strong>Hasil</strong> Ditemukan adanya pengaruh signifikan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja dengan sig=0.000, ditemukan tidak adanya pengaruh signifikan burnout terhadap kinerja dengan sig=0.170, ditemukan adanya pengaruh signifikan kecerdasan emosional dan burnout terhadap kinerja pegawai BKPSDMD Kota Jambi dengan sig 0,000.</p> <p><strong>Kesimpulan</strong> Terdapat pengaruh signifikan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja, tidak terdapat pengaruh burnout terhadap kinerja, terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan burnout terhadap kinerja pegawai di BKPSDMD Kota Jambi.</p> <p><strong>Kata Kunci</strong>: Kecerdasan emosi, Burnout, Performance, Employee</p>Daniel SimanjuntakRion NofriandaJelpa Periantalo

<p><strong>Introduction</strong> Problem-based learning as an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills in the Psychology of Children with Special Needs course at the Jambi University Psychology Study Programme. The findings of focus group discussions (FGDs) with alumni who work in public and special schools, experience obstacles when dealing with children with special needs, especially in observing and analysing the behaviour of developmental and learning problems in children with special needs at school. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether the implementation of problem-based learning can improve students' critical thinking skills.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong> This research method uses class action with the Lewin model, the steps are: 1) Planning, 2) Action, 3) Observation, and 4) Reflection. The respondents of this study were active students of Psychology Jambi University in the Psychology of Children with Special Needs course in the academic year of the odd semester 2023/2024. The implementation lasted for one semester from August to November 2023.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong> Students of Psychology in Jambi University, who contract the Psychology of Children with Special Needs course in the 2023/2024 academic year can show active behaviour and be able to provide alternative solutions to developmental and learning problems in children with special needs based on scientific studies with problem-based learning.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong> Problem-based learning in the psychology of children with special needs course is considered effective in improving the critical thinking skills of students of the Psychology Study Programme, Jambi University.</p> <p><strong>Keyword</strong>: Problem based learning, critical thinking skills, psychology of children with special nee, college student.</p>Marlita Andhika RahmanDessy Pramudiani

<p><strong>Introduction</strong> In the era of globalization, business competition is increasing so that one of the strategies applied by companies to win business competition is to implement a 3- shift work system. The implementation of a 3-shift work system has impacts and risks for employees, one of which is that employees are at high risk of experiencing sleep quality disorders. Disturbed sleep quality can cause fatigue and decreased concentration, resulting in a decrease in the performance displayed by employees when working.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong> This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and employee performance at PT X which implements a 3 shift work system. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational study design. The data analysis technique uses the Spearman Rho correlation technique. The sampling process uses purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in the study is a modified performance scale from scale Quraisyi based on the theory and aspects of Mathis and Jackson (2002), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire from Buysee (1988) which has been adapted into Indonesian by Alim to measure sleep quality.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong> The results showed that there was a significant relationship between sleep quality and employee performance at PT X which implemented a 3-shift work system with a p-value = 0.013 (p < 0.05). The correlation coefficient value of -0.243 means that the two variables have a significant and negative correlation so that the better the quality of employee sleep, the lower employee performance, and vice versa.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong> : Shift work system, Sleep quality, Employee performance</p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p> <p><strong>Pendahuluan</strong> Pada era globalisasi, persaingan bisnis semakin meningkat sehingga salah satu strategi yang diterapkan perusahaan untuk memenangkan persaingan bisnis adalah dengan menerapkan sistem kerja 3 shift. Penerapan sistem kerja 3 shift memiliki dampak dan resiko bagi karyawan, salah satunya mengalami ganggun kualitas tidur. Kualitas tidur yang terganggu dapat menyebabkan kelelahan dan penurunan konsentrasi, sehingga berdampak pada penurunan performa yang ditampilkan karyawan ketika bekerja.</p> <p><strong>Metode</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan kinerja karyawan pada PT. X yang menerapkan sistem kerja 3 shift. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain studi korelasional. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman Rho. Proses pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu skala kinerja yang dimodifikasi dari skala Quraisyi berdasarkan teori dan aspek dari Mathis dan Jackson, serta kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dari Buysee yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Alim untuk mengukur kualitas tidur.</p> <p><strong>Hasil</strong> penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kualitas tidur dengan kinerja karyawan pada PT. X yang menerapkan sistem kerja 3 shift dengan nilai p = 0.013 (p < 0.05). Nilai koefisien korelasi -0.243 diartikan bahwa antara kedua variabel memiliki korelasi yang bermakna dan bernilai negatif sehingga semakin baik kualitas tidur karyawan maka kinerja karyawan semakin turun, dan begitu sebaliknya.</p> <p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>: Sistem kerja shift, kualitas tidur, dan kinerja karyawan.</p>Dita PutrianiDavit Bagus Triyantoro
