Karakteristik Ibu dan Bayi dengan BBLR di RSUD Raden Mattaher Propinsi Jambi
Low Birth Weight Infant is a baby with a low weight under 2.500 grams without gestation period. The insidence in the world is approximately 15,5 % of birth which in developing and low socio-economic country. In Indonesia is between 7-14 % . In Jambi Province, the proportion is 0,83 % (476 cases).
The research was done by using case series design to know characteristic of mother and the baby with low birth weight in Raden Mattaher General Hospital Jambi Province 2008, 137 datas (total sampling).
Based on the research results, the characteristic of mother with the highest proportion that were low risk age (56,2%), Malay tribe (53, %), Islam (81,8%), the middle education level (55,5%), and as a motherhood (56,2%). The pregnancy medical risk factor that were low in delivery (50,4 %), pregnancy period under 2 years (78,8%), pregnancy age under 37 weeks (75,2%), there were no bad pregnancy story (55,5%), the haemoglobin ≤ 11 gram % (68,6%), the rare antenatal care (46,7%), there were no direct complication (64,2%), there were no indirect complication (72,3%). Public health insurance(47,4%), the average suffers of mother was 3,98 days and baby was 4,38 days, the condition of mother and baby when back at home was healthy (76,6%) and (71,5%) each.
The statistical test, there is no significant difference between mother bear and direct pregnancy complication status (p=0,481), birth weight infant and direct pregnancy complication status (p=0,505), birth weight infant and mother bear (p=0,645), the baby condition when back home and direct pregnancy complication status (p=0,833) and also between the average suffers of mother and direct pregnancy complication status (p=0,859).
It is recommended to Raden Mattaher General Hospital Jambi Province, so that do some pregnency check up regularly, giving socialization to reduce Low Birth Weight Infant.
