Pemanfaatan Kompos Tandan Kosong Sawit Sebagai Campuran Media Tumbuh Dan Pemberian Mikoriza Pada Bibit Mindi (Melia azedarach L.)

Abstract

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of empty fruit bunch compost as growing medium mixture and the provision of mycorrhizae on seedling growth mindi (Melia azedarach L.). Research carried out in the field experiment Faculty of Agriculture and Soil Biology Laboratory, Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. The design used was completely randomized factorial design 2 factors namely the composition of medium growth and mycorrhizal application. The results showed that the interaction between these two factors do not give a significant difference. Application of mycorrhizae gave significantly effect to percent mycorrhizal colonization. The composition of growth media had significant effect on height, diameter increment, plant dry weight and percent mycorrhizal colonization.
