Abstract

ABSTRACT
The aggregate stability of Ultisol at several land uses and slopes. The purpose of this research is to study the aggregate stability of Ultisol at secondary forest, oil palm, plantation, rubber plantation, and mixed farming with slopes of 0-8%, 8-15% and 15-20%. The research was carried out at Tanjung Sari Village and Bukit Subur Village, Sungai Bahar sub district, Muaro Jambi from April 2009 to July 2009 with survey method. Sample was taken using Stratified Random Sampling. Soil samples were taken from land uses and slopes 0-30 cm depth. Soil analysis at soil physics laboratory, Jambi University. The result of this research shows that the secondary forest has the higtest of aggregate stability among the other land uses secondary forest (86.05% to 91.48), rubber plantation (78.70% to 79.39%), mixed farming (59.83% to 64.99%), and oil palm plantation (40.75% to 45.09%).
