https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/element/article/view/37050

Effective schools demonstrate high standards of achievement in both academic and non-academic terms and have a culture that prioritizes achieving set goals. School principals are faced with a variety of complex and varied problems, including problems related to resource management, availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure, quality of teaching, relevant curriculum, student motivation, and relationships with parents and the community. Overcoming these problems requires sustained efforts and close collaboration between all relevant parties to create an effective learning environment and ensure student success. so this research aims to find out the principal's strategy for building an effective school. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 5, Jambi City. The design of this research is a qualitative case study. The collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The result is that an effective school is one that is able to change input (students) into output (graduates) according to the expected criteria through an efficient process (achieving maximum results with minimum costs). In this way, the principal's strategy for building an effective school involves several important aspects.

Marfu’ah NursulisRisna FirtriyanaMohamad MuspawiK.A. Rahman

This research aims to analyze the influence of system quality, information quality and service quality on student satisfaction in using e-learning in universities throughout Jambi Province. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey design and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique to analyze the relationship between variables and the suitability of the research model. The research sample was determined using the Convenience Sampling technique with a total of 207 respondents taken from a population of 114,134 students at 7 universities in Jambi City. The research results show that system quality, information quality, and service quality have a significant influence on student satisfaction in using e-learning. This study emphasizes the importance of good system quality, accurate and complete information, and responsive services to increase user satisfaction in the context of e-learning. It is hoped that these findings can become a reference for educational institutions in improving the implementation of e-learning to make it more effective and satisfying for users.
Mayshel Adinda ViolaAbduhakim Kajee Yamkee2 Abduhakim Kajee Yamkee2Friska Aqilah VilantiSwastini Swastini

This study investigates how academic stress, internet addiction, and sleep quality affect the academic performance of Indonesian students. Data were collected through an online survey completed by 209 students from various universities in Indonesia. This study, which was conducted using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, found that internet addiction and academic stress have a significant negative impact on academic achievement, while sleep quality has a significant positive impact. This study suggests that stress management, wise use of the internet, and good sleep quality are essential for improving students' academic performance.
Lasria Rovi Naro SimatupangJulita Tantri

https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/element/article/view/38380

This study aims to investigate the influence of emotional intelligence, learning facilities, and learning interest on the academic achievement of students in Sumatra Island. The Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method was used to analyze data from 200 respondents. The results of the analysis indicate that emotional intelligence and learning interest have a significant positive effect on academic achievement, while learning facilities have a significant negative effect. The effect size evaluation shows that emotional intelligence has the greatest influence, followed by learning interest and learning facilities. This model has strong predictive accuracy, indicated by high R2 values for learning interest and academic achievement. Additionally, the model also has good predictive relevance, indicating the model's ability to accurately predict the values of endogenous variables. These findings provide insights for universities and lecturers to improve students' academic achievement by focusing on the development of emotional intelligence, learning interest, and enhancement of learning facilities.
Ferdiaz SaudagarSalsabila JanatiMika MikaYra G Salazar

https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/element/article/view/38381

This study aims to analyze the influence of e-learning usage, lecturer interpersonal communication, learning motivation, and student engagement in several universities in Sumatra. This study used a quantitative approach and the data collection technique involved the distribution and collection of questionnaires (broadcasting) through Google Form. The respondents selected for this study were students at several universities in Sumatra, from a total population of 1000 with a sample size of 200. The data analysis technique used in this research is Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) to develop a model that describes the relationship between variables. The results of this study show that, in the first hypothesis, the use of e-learning has a P value of 0.000, which indicates a significant influence on student learning motivation. In the second hypothesis, the use of e-learning has a P value of 0.000, which also shows a significant influence on student engagement. The third hypothesis, interpersonal communication has a P value of 0.000, which indicates a significant influence on student learning motivation. The fourth hypothesis, interpersonal communication has a P value of 0.000, which shows a significant effect on student engagement. Finally, the fifth hypothesis, learning motivation, has a P value of 0.000, which shows a significant influence on student engagement. Therefore, this study concludes that, the use of e-learning and lecturers' interpersonal communication have a significant impact on learning motivation and student engagement in several universities in Sumatra. In addition, learning motivation also directly contributes to student engagement.
Puji Dinda MelatiEko Puspita Rini
