Validasi Four-Tier Diagnostic Test dan Profil Miskonsepsi Materi Campuran pada Siswa SMP Validation of a Four-Tier Diagnostic Test and Misconception Profile on Mixture Concepts among Junior High School Students

Abstract

Siswa dapat memperoleh skor tes IPA yang tinggi, tetapi tetap memiliki alasan dan keyakinan yang belum stabil, terutama pada konsep campuran dan pemisahannya yang menuntut keterhubungan antara pengamatan makroskopis dan penjelasan tingkat partikel. Penelitian ini bertujuan memvalidasi four-tier diagnostic test serta memetakan profil konsepsi siswa kelas VIII pada materi campuran dan pemisahan campuran sederhana. Survei diagnostik kuantitatif deskriptif melibatkan 92 siswa dari empat klaster kelas di SMP Negeri 3 Katapang. Instrumen berjumlah 21 butir yang mengukur jawaban konsep, alasan ilmiah, tingkat keyakinan, dan sumber keyakinan. Data dianalisis melalui korelasi Pearson item-total, Cronbach’s alpha, alpha penguasaan biner, indeks kesukaran, enam kategori konsepsi, pola respons dominan, dan frekuensi sumber keyakinan. Seluruh butir valid secara empiris (r = 0,518–0,855); konsistensi internal sangat tinggi (α = 0,945; alpha biner = 0,936). Dari 1.932 respons, 66,30% termasuk scientific conception, sedangkan miskonsepsi total mencapai 23,65%. Konsep paling bermasalah meliputi campuran dan zat baru, pelarutan, suspensi, aerosol, adsorpsi dalam filtrasi, dan dekantasi. Kontribusi penelitian terletak pada integrasi bukti psikometrik, kategori konsepsi, pola respons per butir, dan sumber keyakinan dalam satu profil diagnostik. Hasilnya menjadi dasar operasional remediasi melalui representasi partikel, kegiatan prediksi–observasi–eksplanasi, praktikum pemisahan, dan teks sanggahan.
