This journal policy is a publication guideline for Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law, so that the process of publishing and using published articles is carried out ethically and responsibly. This publication policy covers the scope of the journal, periodicity of publications, writing guidelines, submission of manuscripts, originality of works, editing process, publication, archiving, and accessibility. The parties involved in the publication process and its use, namely authors, editors, bebestari partners, and readers, must pay attention to this publication policy. The Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law applied the double-blind peer review model, and Author(s) retains copyrights of all published material without any restriction under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License).

 

SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL

Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law publishes articles on research results or legal studies in the fields of civil law and business law, responding to social dynamics and changes. The study of social dynamics and change from the two perspectives of law can be done normatively (normative law), philosophical (legal philosophy), or empirically (socio-legal).

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law is published three times a year, in April, August, and October. Publications are published in print and online versions using the Open Journal System application on the https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/Zaaken page. In each issue, Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law contains 10 (ten) research articles or student thesis.

WRITING GUIDELINES

This Writing Guide is intended as a reference for authors who intend to submit their manuscripts to Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law, as well as a reference for editors and bebestari partners in evaluating incoming manuscripts. Therefore, writers, editors, and bebestari partners must understand and follow these guidelines so that published articles have a uniform style of environment. Please download the Writing Guidelines

ORIGINALITY OF THE TEXT

Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law only publishes original articles that have never been published in other publication media. In order to maintain the originality of the manuscript so that the publication of articles containing plagiarism and authorship disputes is avoided, the editor requires every author who submits his manuscript to Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law to complete a Statement of Authorship. Editors also use the Google search engine to find out possible similarities between the submitted manuscript and the published article.

SUBMISSION

Submission of manuscripts to the editor of Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law is done online and independently by the author or through the help of an editor. Authors must register by creating an account on the registration menu and if already registered please enter via the login menu. The author must prepare three files (files) to be uploaded, namely the article manuscript (in word format), author's biodata (in word format), and a statement of authorship (in PDF format). The Statement of Authorization file must first be downloaded by the author here, then signed as proof of the statement agreement, converted to PDF and uploaded.

EDITING PROCESS

Every manuscript that is submitted to Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law will be read by the Executive Editor and the Editorial Board according to their scientific field to be adjusted to the journal writing guidelines. The editor-in-chief then screens the suitability of the manuscript to be forwarded or not to the bebestari partners who are competent in their fields. Mitra bebestari will conduct a review of the manuscript which is not accompanied by the name and institution of the author (double blind peer review). The results of the studies carried out by bebestari partners include:

  • Accepted;
  • Accepted with minor revision;
  • Accepted with major revisions; and
  • Rejected

After going through the editing process and being reviewed by the reviewers, the editor-in-chief decides whether or not the manuscript is worthy of publication.

Articles published by Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law are archived at the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and the Open Journal System via the https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/Zaaken/issue/archive page

ACCESSIBILITY

All articles published in Zaaken: Journal of Civil and Business Law are free to access. Every citation in whole or in part is required to include a reference. Reproduction of articles (print, photocopy, and digital sharing) without changing the content and format of publication for academic or scientific purposes is permitted without having to go through the publisher's permission.
