SEZ is still commonly found in women of childbearing age (WUS) and adolescent girls. SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi Regency is located in Mestong District, including rural areas with high stunting rates. This community service was carried out in May-July 2023 with stages, advocay, socialization, nutrition education and measurement of nutritional status (upper arm circumference, weight and height) in 10th and 11th grade adolescent girls totaling 71 people. There are still many students who are at risk of SEZ due to Upper Arm Circumference (LiLA) < 23.5 cm by 43.1%. Quantitative assessment was conducted pre and post-test before and after nutrition education. The average value of knowledge score before education was 4.54 and increased to 7.58 during the post test. The results of the Wilcoxon Test analysis found a value of P = 0.0001 which means that there is an effect of providing nutrition education to adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi Regency. Providing education about the risk of chronic energy deficiency and anemia has an influence on the level of knowledge of adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi. It is recommended to apply a balanced nutritional diet and take LiLA measurements in order to prevent SEZ and Anemia.
Ummi Kalsum, Hendra Dhermawan Sitanggang, Adelina Fitri Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Salam Sehat Masyarakat (JSSM) https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/JSSM/article/view/30001 Sun, 30 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0700 PENINGKATAN STATUS GIZI BALITA MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN DAN PRODUKSI ABON IKAN NILA DI DESA PEMATANG JERING KECAMATAN JAMBI LUAR KOTA TAHUN 2023 https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/JSSM/article/view/34042
Toddlers are one of the risk groups for experiencing a lack of nutritional intake, which affects their nutritional status. According to the results of SSG1 2022, it is stated that the prevalence of underweight or malnourished children under five (weight according to age) in Jambi Province is 13.8% and in Muaro Jambi Regency is 16.2%. In Pematang Jering Village itself, there are still health problems among children, including malnutrition, stunting and wasting. Malnutrition is a condition where the body's nutritional needs are not met within a certain period of time so that the body breaks down food reserves under the fat layer and layers of the body's organs. Maternal parenting patterns show that mothers with poor parenting patterns have a greater chance of having children who experience malnutrition problems than mothers with good parenting patterns. Good parenting consists of providing IMD, giving breast milk and MP-ASI as well as practicing hygiene or environmental sanitation. Pematang Jering Village has a Polindes (Village Maternity Center). This Polindes is used once a month for the implementation of posyandu. The results of data measuring height according to age (TB/U) carried out by the Posyandu in Pematang Jering Village, out of a total of 105 children in Pematang Jering Village, found that 25 children had undernutrition problems that did not meet the ideal standards according to age. The methods used were Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Introduction of Alternative Innovations for Toddler MPASI, Education on Tilapia Floss Production, Formation of Cadres and Structures, Monitoring of Shredded Production, Monitoring and Evaluation of the pre-test and post-test results, namely 16.66% to 83, 33% of mothers of toddlers have an understanding regarding providing MP-ASI food and producing shredded Nilla fish properly and correctly.
Asparian Asparian, Dewi Aprilianti, Nurul Qalbi, Fitri Azizah, Mawar Dia Sofira Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Salam Sehat Masyarakat (JSSM) https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/JSSM/article/view/34042 Sun, 30 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0700 UPAYA PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN KADER TIM PENDAMPING KELUARGA (TPK) DALAM PERCEPATAN PENURUNAN STUNTING DI KECAMATAN PASAR KOTA JAMBI https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/JSSM/article/view/33979
Stunting is the result of the interaction of various factors, namely insufficient food intake and increased nutritional needs. The results of descriptive statistical tests are the average and standard deviation of knowledge between the first measurement (pretest) and the second measurement (posttest). The average knowledge in the first measurement was 6.3800 with a standard deviation of 1.73. In the second measurement, the average knowledge was found to be 11.5200 with a standard deviation of 0.64. The paired T test is reported in the second table, it can be seen that the mean value of the difference between the first and second measurements is 0.514 with a standard deviation of 1.79. This difference was tested with a paired T test producing a p value which can be seen in the "Sig (2-tailed)" column, obtaining a p value = 0.0001.
Rumita Ena Sari, Sri Astuti Siregar, Ismi Nurwaqiah Ibnu Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Salam Sehat Masyarakat (JSSM) https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/JSSM/article/view/34280 Sun, 30 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0700 UPAYA PENCEGAHAN STUNTING MELALUI PROGRAM GEBYAR PEKAN KESEHATAN DI DESA SENGKATI BARU https://online-journal.unja.ac.id/JSSM/article/view/33983
Stunting is a serious public health problem in many developing countries, including Indonesia.
