Pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan meliputi aspek; pencegahan, penanggulangan serta penanganan pasca kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Semua stakeholder mempunyai peranan masing-masing pada setiap aspek dan diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dan bersinergi satu sama lain sehingga upaya pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Kabupaten Batang Hari dapat terlaksana dengan efektif dan efisien. Terdapat 6 (enam) Stakeholder bidang Kehutanan dan Perkebuan yang terlibat dalam pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Kabupaten Batang Hari, antara lain PT. Wira Karya Sakti, PT. Rimba Hutani Mas, PT. Restorasi Ekosistem Indonesia, PT. Agronusa Alam Sejatera, PT. Kedathon Mulia Primas, PT. Berkah Sawit Utama dan PT. Prima Sawit Lestari Pemenuhan kewajiban dalam pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Kabupaten Batang Hari sudah cukup tinggi. Terdapat 4 (empat) pelaku usaha bidang kehutanan dengan rentang persentase 80-97%, pelaku usaha perkebunan dengan rentang persentase 32-80%.
