Core Competences and the Challenges of Teaching Intelligence Studies in Nigerian Non-Military Universities2024-11-14T11:09:50+07:00Major Awal Isanursulis0978@gmail.comDaniel Ntengboawajinte@gmail.com
Contemporary security realities have deepened the need to widen the space in search of intelligence education and knowledge acquisition across the world. This has opened up new horizons as non-military universities have established intelligence and security studies all over the world. However, this raises the need to examine the issues of core competencies and expertise needed to produce global future leaders in intelligence management and practice. For a developing country like Nigeria, this remains an onerous task as this work seeks to evaluate the quest for intelligence education in Nigeria by Novena University and Afe Babalola University. It has been seriously noted that part of the competencies required for effective intelligence teaching require practical experiences because some believe that no matter your academic prowess in terms of research work, publications and professional trainings in the classroom, being on ground to acquire real life experiences that cannot be over emphasised. While the aforesaid assertion remains immutable this work shows the strengths and weaknesses in delivering intelligence education as they are tailored largely towards tradecraft. This lacuna stems largely from the dearth of adequate academics in this relatively new field and suffice to say that a generalist approach as it is now holds a glorious future for intelligence education in Nigeria.
2024-11-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Major Awal Isa, Daniel Ntehttps://online-journal.unja.ac.id/IDEAL/article/view/37942Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model to Improve Student Activity and Learning Outcomes in Marketing Management Courses2024-11-14T11:09:28+07:00Dahmiri Dahmiriviesta2022@gmail.comIdham Khalik Idham Khalikridarestu64@gmail.comHusni Hasbullah Husni Hasbullahridarestu64@gmail.com
This study aims to evaluate the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and analyze its impact on increasing student activeness and learning outcomes in the Marketing Management course at the Jambi University Faculty of Economics Management Study Program. This research was conducted in two cycles. Student learning outcomes data are collected through evaluation tests covering Marketing Management material. This research design uses the classroom action research method, which involves four main steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The main data collection technique was observation, with instruments in the form of pretest and posttest questions. Data on student learning outcomes were analyzed using descriptive analysis and percentage techniques. The improvement of learning outcomes was assessed by comparing the average test scores from the first and second cycles. The results showed that students in the Marketing Management course had a very varied level of activeness, difficulty in expressing opinions, and lack of effective use of media and learning methods. The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model proved to be an effective solution to overcome the problem of student activeness and the use of limited learning methods and media. After the implementation of the PBL model, there was a significant increase in student activeness compared to conventional learning methods that did not use PBL
2024-11-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Dahmiri, Idham Khalik, Husni Hasbullahhttps://online-journal.unja.ac.id/IDEAL/article/view/38543The Influence Of The Role Of Situational Leadership In Increasing Teacher Commitment, Satisfaction And Motivation2024-11-24T22:18:34+07:00Rida Restu Restalillahridarestu664@gmail.comTiara Gusnia Tiara Gusniaridarestu64@gmail.comPramodya Casqie Lunita Pramodya Casqie Lunitaridarestu64@gmail.comAmalia Amaliaridarestu664@gmail.comAnjeliana Anjelianaridarestu664@gmail.comPamela Grace Pamela Graceridarestu664@gmail.com
This study aims to find out the impact of situational leadership on teacher satisfaction, commitment, and motivation in Jambi City. The results of the research that has been carried out show that situational leadership has a positive impact in improving job satisfaction and organizational commitment as well as teacher motivation. This study uses a quantitative method with SEM-PLS analysis. The results are consistent with previous studies, which show that a leadership style that adapts to individual situations and needs can contribute to teacher well-being and performance. However, no motivational influence on teacher satisfaction was found in the context of this study, unlike the findings of previous studies. The conclusion of this study is to emphasize the importance of adopting a situation-based leadership style in the context of education to create a working environment that motivates, satisfies, and consolidates the commitment of teachers. Implications of this research can contribute to the development of leadership strategies that focus on teacher well-being and the overall quality of education.
2024-11-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Rida Restu Restalillah, Tiara Gusnia, Pramodya Casqie Lunita, Amalia, Anjeliana, Pamela Gracehttps://online-journal.unja.ac.id/IDEAL/article/view/38545The Role of Transformational Leadership Style, Knowledge, Innovation, Motivation Towards Teacher Performance2024-11-24T22:17:41+07:00Fidhiya Marlan Utami fidhiyamarlanutami12@gmail.comNevi Latina Nevi Latinafidhiyamarlanutami12@gmail.comMiko Frenanda Miko Frenandafidhiyamarlanutami12@gmail.comInsyra Nung Fatikha Insyra Nung Fatikhafidhiyamarlanutami12@gmail.comM. Transformational leadership is an approach that focuses on developing individuals, motivating them to reach their full potential. The study involved participants of students from different levels of education in different schools. The research method used was a questionnaire survey given to students to measure their perception of the transformational leadership style demonstrated by the principal. The data were then analyzed using descriptive statistical and regression techniques. The results showed that transformational leadership style has a significant positive influence on student motivation. Principals who are able to motivate students in an inspiring way and attend to their needs and aspirations tend to increase student motivation. In addition, transformational leadership styles also play an important role in enhancing student learning innovation. Principals who encourage students to think creatively, take risks, and find new solutions can encourage innovation in the learning process. The findings have important implications for education practitioners and policymakers. Principals and teachers can use transformational leadership styles as strategies to increase student motivation and learning innovation. In addition, formal education can also pay attention to the importance of developing a transformational leadership style.
2024-11-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Fidhiya Marlan Utami , Nevi Latina, Miko Frenanda, Insyra Nung Fatikha, M.
