Pengaruh Media Simpan Dan Lama Penyimpan Terhadap Viabilitas Dan Vigor Benih Kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica L.)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendapatkan jenis media simpan yang terbaik untuk
mempertahankan viabilitas dan vigorbenih kopi arabika (Coffea arabica L.) selama penyimpanan.
Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dari bulan Februari 2024 sampai April 2024 di Laboratorium
Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap
(RAL) 2 faktor dengan faktor pertama yaitu media simpan yang terdiri dari 6 taraf perlakuan M0 =
kontrol (tanpa media simpan), M1 = sekam padi, M2 = arang sekam padi, M3 = cocopeat, M4 =
serbuk gergaji, M5 = arang tempurung kelapa dan faktor kedua lama penyimpanan yang terdiri dari
3 taraf perlakuan P1=10 hari, P2 = 20 hari,P3 = 30 hari, tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali
sehingga diperoleh 24 satuan percobaan. Setelah setiap selesai penyimpanan, benih dikecambahkan
selama 40 hari dan pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari hingga akhir perkecambahan. Peubah yang
diamati adalah kadar air benih, daya berkecambah, kecepatan berkecambah, keserempakan
berkecambah dan bobot kering kecambah normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan
berbagai media simpan mampu mempertahankan viabilitas dan vigor benih kopi arabika (Coffea
arabica L.) selama masa penyimpanan. Cocopeat merupakan media simpan terbaik dalam
mempertahankan viabilitas dan vigor benih kopi arabika (Coffea arabica L) dengan lama
penyimpanan 30 hari.

  1. Co-Authorship

  1. Royalties

This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by Indonesian EFL Research & Practice or its sublicensee.

  1. Miscellaneous

Indonesian EFL Research & Practice will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the article’s editorial process is successfully completed and Indonesian EFL Research & Practice or its sublicensee has become obligated to have the article published. Indonesian EFL Research & Practice may conform the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing and usage that it deems appropriate.
