Evaluasi Tinggi Muka Air Tanah Gambut Pada Lahan Pasca Terbakar Di Areal Hutan Lindung Gambut Londerang Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur

Tanah gambut merupakan tanah yang memiliki ciri utama berupa kandungan bahan organik yang tinggi yang berasal dari sisa-sisa jaringan tanaman dan memiliki lapisan tanah kaya bahan organik dengan ketebalan 50 cm atau lebih. Lahan gambut merupakan sumberdaya alam yang bersifat multifungsi, diantaranya sebagai pengatur hidrologi, penyerap dan penyimpan karbon yang mampu meredam perubahan iklim global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tinggi muka air tanah gambut, mengetahui kondisi hidrologi gambut pasca terbakar, serta memberikan arahan mengenai kegiatan restorasi (hidrologi dan vegetasi) yang sesuai untuk memperbaiki ekosistem gambut di areal Hutan Lindung Gambut Londerang, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Survei. Penentuan titik-titik pengamatan dibuat secara transek yaitu tegak lurus terhadap tanggul sungai dengan grid 500x1000 m sehingga diperoleh 38 titik pengamatan pada lokasi penelitian seluas 1900 Ha. Pada lokasi penelitian merupakan bagian tepi gambut yang menipis, semakin ketengah HLG tinggi muka gambut menurun dan diikuti dengan menurunnya tinggi muka air (TMA), serta terjadinya perubahan tinggi muka gambut yang diikuti dengan perubahan tinggi muka air merupakan akibat dari proses kebakaran. Pada lokasi penelitian terdapat jalur pengamatan yang mengalami kebakaran intensif yang di tunjukkan dengan trend tinggi muka gambut (TMG) mendekati TMA, dan jalur pengamatan yang relatif kurang intensif terbakar yang di tunjukkan dengan TMG yang tidak menunjukkan trend yang jelas.
